General Description
Though this is the second largest vihāra at the site, it remains incomplete. It offers great insight into how caves at Ajanta were excavated. While the caves were being scooped out of the rock, sculptors and craftspeople worked on polishing and carving the elements in the cave. The front of the cave, therefore, looks complete while work at the back has barely begun.
Recognizing the ongoing need to position itself for the digital future, Indian Culture is an initiative by the Ministry of Culture. A platform that hosts data of cultural relevance from various repositories and institutions all over India.
